![]() ![]() Up, down → Navigatie up/down between the files (while in focus is on the file tree) ![]() Useful shortcuts for navigationĬMD + Shift + e → opening and focusing the file explorer in VSCode As fast as you can type, Visual Studio searches your entire solution for a file or path that starts with the characters you type and you can quickly select that file (with the keyboard using the arrow keys if you wish) and open it. ![]() Now type '>of ' and follow with the start of a filename. Example: for java it will be: lang:java id:files.eol. First jump up to that box using the keystroke Ctrl+/. Under 'Settings', type in the search bar: lang:language-name id:files.eol and then choose the 'User' or 'Workspace' tab. VS CODE FIND FILE WINDOWSBut the ones mentioned here at least helped me personally a lot to make navigation between the file tree and editor windows and finding files a smooth experience. You can also configure the EOL for that extension so new files will follow your preference. If you havent already done so, VSCode might ask you to pick a Python interpreter at this point. Call it anything you like, I called mine vscodeplayground.py. Create a new file by clicking the new file button in the explorer at the left, or using the File menu.
